One small discovery at a time
Find keys, make capitals and try your first typed line. A friendly hint is always on the way.
Discover capitals, lowercase letters and their names, then practise at your own pace.
Write your own pages, draw the adventure and keep your books on your very own shelf.
A note for grown-ups
Choose one of six companions and a nickname. Up to six children can keep separate progress on this device. There are no timers, lost lives or public scores.
A real keyboard is best for learning where keys live. On a phone or tablet, the on-screen keys let you join in. Younger learners may need you to read the written prompts.
Available now: 30 lessons in Worlds 1, 2 and 5, letter practice, illustrated storybooks and a parent progress page. The remaining 12 worlds and recorded letter/phonics prompts are still being made.
Progress and stories stay in this browser, not in an online account. They do not sync to other devices. Clearing browser data removes them. Optional computer-voice instructions use your browser's speech service; voices may require a connection.
